The CMC-University Community Investment Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, supported and managed by the Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, is charged with the responsibility of ensuring a continuous connection between the hospital and the community in which it serves by providing ongoing benefits and services to the community. To demonstrate our appreciation and support of North Charlotte and surrounding areas, each year we donate thousands of dollars and time through our Community Investment Initiative. Finding time to focus on healthy living can be difficult, so CMC-University brings good health to you. Visit LiveWELL Carolinas!, our community resource wellness center, located in Suite 103 on the Lower Level inside Northlake Mall. LiveWELL Carolinas!, the only program of its kind, provides a variety of classes, seminars and information to help promote health and wellness for all age groups. LiveWELL Carolinas! is staffed by registered nurses and nutritionists who are happy to answer your health-related questions.

LiveWELL Carolinas! gives you a convenient location as well as convenient hours. We're open during regular mall hours, typically from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from Noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visit us online for more information and to download our monthly class calendar.

HeartAware™ Risk Assessment

We are proud to offer our community a new preventative health program, HeartAwareTM. We invite you to complete a confidential seven-minute online risk assessment to determine if you are at risk for heart disease. Upon completion of the assessment, you will receive a complete report that you can print and share with your primary care physician which outlines your levels of risk. Take the short survey and possibly SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Should you have risk factors identified, participants will be invited to come to LiveWELL Carolinas!, our community resource center at Northlake Mall, and receive a FREE screening, including a blood pressure and cholesterol check. Those who qualify will be referred for further testing to help prevent heart disease or heart attacks and to reduce your risk factors for heart disease with early intervention.
